Guest Speakers:

Craig Chong, President and CEO of Fresh Leadership will share how he has helped well-known companies in Hawaii implement strategies and programs that have improved performance in the areas of:

     • Engagement & Buy in

     • Silo Breakdown and Building a Cross Functional Culture

     • Developing a Healthy Culture

     • Managing Personal & Organizational Transitions vs Change Management

Jiro  Sumada, Vice President for Hawaii Operations at Lyon Associates will share how he worked with Stanley Nakasone,  Highway Superintendent in the County of Hawaii Department of Public Works, to motivate  150 County road maintenance personnel (who traditionally only patched potholes and cut the grass along the sides of roads) to repave over 500 lane miles of County roads over a 10 year period.   For several communities, the Public Works road crews became heroes because many of these roads had never been resurfaced since they were built over 40 years ago.    This inspiring story demonstrates how good leadership and coaching can improve performance, engagement and involvement at every level.
