Improv Workshop: Learning Effective Communication Through Play

Featuring Meredith Enos and the No Why? Improv Troupe


Did you know improv skills are beneficial in daily conversations, managing a team, and facilitating presentations? In this highly interactive session, you will practice using the tools and strategies of improvisation to communicate and craft responses effectively. According to TD Magazine, improv is ideal for anyone who wants to improve their skills in:


  • training
  • managing people
  • sales
  • marketing
  • facilitating meetings
  • resolving conflict
  • listening
  • design thinking
  • collaborating
  • brainstorming

Improvisation is not about being funny, but you will have fun!


In this 90-minute session, about one hour will be full-group, small group and partner games and activities, with time to eat and network at the beginning, and at the end to reflect on how you can apply the learnings to your work and life.

At the end of this event, participants will be able to:

  • apply the principles of “yes, and” professionally and personally
  • build on others’ ideas and participate in constructive conversations
  • create a safe space for people to express their ideas fully

About the Presenter:




Meredith Enos and the No Why? Improv Troupe

Meredith Enos has been practicing improv for 20 years, and teaching it to community groups, schools, corporations and associations for 10 years. She uses improv techniques for meeting facilitation, life coaching, design thinking, instructional design, and in her own projects including raising four kids.

Members without a meal: Free

Members with a meal: $12.00

Food will be catered by 1132 Cafe. You will receive a delicious wrap with chips and cookies. The choices for wraps includes BBQ chicken, turkey and cranberry, and vegetarian. The cost is $12.00.

Parking costs $3 flat rate, limited parking available at HawaiiUSA FCU.

Very limited parking spaces available in the HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union parking garage levels 1A and 2A, therefore, we recommend you carpool to save on parking charges and for ease of finding a parking spot.

Please do not park on level 1B.
