Julianne Odo, President | Julianne is a Sr. Organizational Effectiveness Consultant with Kaiser Permanente, one of the nation’s leading health care providers and not-for-profit health plans. Pairing her previous experience as an Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Consultant, her work is focused on implementing inclusive and equitable system-wide solutions that drive effective change, talent planning, performance management, and team effectiveness. Julianne has 15 years of experience in the Learning and Organizational Development field; prior to working in health care, Julianne worked in the hospitality, banking, and retail sectors. Dayna Hasegawa, President Elect and Vice President | Dayna Hasegawa is currently Director of Talent Acquisition and Learning Development for Bank of Hawai'i, one of the leading financial institutes in Hawai'i. She holds over 10 years of experience in training & development, and over 6 years in Talent Acquisition in the medical, retail and financial industries. With both functions recently added under her purview for the bank, she is able to think more broadly when it comes to attracting and developing talent for the future. In this unique role, she is working on expanding and building synergy between talent acquisition and learning in order to enhance the employee experience throughout their entire career lifecycle. From attraction to development and retention, Dayna strives to provide a world-class experience for candidates, employees and managers at all levels. Her contributions include leading organization-wide development programs, implementation of a new HR system, redesign of career development and performance management, and re-building of both Talent Acquisition and Learning Development teams. Dayna has a BA in Psychology from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa and is a life-long learner who most recently completed The Women's Leadership Academy with Dale Carnegie. Keola Suliven, VP of Records | Keola Suliven is currently the Learning & Development Manager at Central Pacific Bank. With over 10 years of experience within the financial industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role and is dedicated to fostering growth and innovation. His diverse past work history, which includes accounting and payroll, create a unique blend of experience that enable him to identify training needs with stakeholders, curate comprehensive learning materials, and create digital media training modules that resonate with diverse audiences. With a Bachelor of Arts in Digital Cinema (School of Cinematic Arts) from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Management from Hawaii Pacific University, he skillfully blends creative thinking with strategic business acumen to design and implement impactful development programs. Jie Jiang, VP of Sponsorships | JJ serves as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at ATD Hawaii, where she is committed to fostering collaborations that enhance learning and development opportunities across the islands. As the Manager of Learning & Development at HEMIC, JJ designs and implements impactful training programs that align with organizational goals and promote growth for both employees, leadership, and the company. JJ holds an L.L.M in Law and a Master’s degree in Adult Training and Teaching, bringing a unique blend of legal insight and expertise in education to her work. With years of experience in the federal government and Microsoft, JJ combines strategic innovation with practical solutions to create meaningful learning experiences that empower individuals and teams. Deeply connected to Hawaii’s culture and community, JJ integrates local values into her work and volunteer efforts. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new learning technologies, and contributing to initiatives that support her community. Brian Madamba, VP Technology | Brian Madamba is a Talent Development Specialist at HawaiiUSA FCU. He works with the company to produce materials needed for learning plans and internal projects. He is heavily versed in the financial industry with a focus in economics, stock markets, and real estate. On the side, he has multiple businesses built all across Asia, the United States, and Canada. His hobbies include watching the news, traveling, trying new foods and restaurants, going to concerts, and shopping. Brian is also experienced in the retail industry having completing certificates is fashion styling, retail management, and business essentials form multiple educational institutions around the US. Maile Alau, VP of Events | Maile is a native Hawaiian Organizational Development practitioner and is currently a Organizational Development Advisor at American Savings Bank. She has worked in Organizational Development for over 10 years. She spent over 20 years working in nonprofits in Hawaiʻi, supporting many different organizations, including the YWCA, Habitat for Humanity, and Chaminade University. In her current role, Maile works to to guide the culture of the organization and provides leadership development and essential skills training. Maile is a lover of food, coffee, furry animals, and her ʻohana. Tanya Diaz-Chong, VP of Finance | Dr. Tanya Diaz-Chong is the Manager of Customer Service Improvement at Hawaiian Electric. In this role, she is responsible for driving continuous improvement, leading organizational change management, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, overseeing learning and development programs, managing projects, and strategic planning for the customer service business area. With over 20 years of experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in these fields. Prior to her current position at Hawaiian Electric, Dr. Diaz-Chong has garnered an extensive background spanning over 15 years in accounting, audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and regulatory compliance. She has worked for reputable organizations such as Hawaii Community Foundation and Honsador Lumber. Dr. Diaz-Chong's academic achievements include a doctorate in organizational change and leadership from the University of Southern California, a master's degree in organizational leadership from American Public University, a bachelor's degree in management from Chaminade University, a Utility Accounting Certificate from Financial Accounting Institute, and a DEI Certificate from the University of South Florida. Kelii Opulauoho, VP of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion | Kelii Opulauoho (he/they/we) is a seasoned Organizational Development & Learning professional with extensive Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging experience in fostering inclusive environments. Previously at MasterCard Worldwide, and MetroPlus Health Plan with New York City Health & Hospitals System, Kelii now spearheads impactful OD&L and DEI programs and initiatives at Hawaiian Electric, enhancing employee engagement and brand reputation. A graduate of Punahou School, Kelii earned his BA in Asian Studies with a minor in Women's Studies at Dartmouth College and received his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Outside of his professional and volunteer commitments, Kelii loves being a dad to his son Miles. Cristina Rose, VP of Membership | Cristina Rose is currently the Senior Talent Management Specialist for Hawaiian Airlines under the Alaska Airlines Group. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, she found herself drawn to Oahu for college where she studied Psychology at Hawaii Pacific University, and obtained her Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Argosy University. Her professional experience has touched upon performance management, administering programs for high potential leaders, fostering workplace collaboration, embracing change management principles and creating safe spaces to celebrate our women leaders. In her spare time, Cristina volunteers as a “Big Sister” for Big Brother and Big Sisters Hawaii, travels as much as she can, loves analogue photography and is always on the hunt for the perfect sunset!
