About this Event:

In 2014, Geoff Seideman and his wife, Charmayne opened Honolulu Beerworks, a neighborhood craft brewery in the heart of Kaka'ako. With 4.7 out of 5 stars on Google reviews, it's known for low employee turnover, high employee engagement, and great customer service. How do they do it??? Even though they are a hip destination with a young staff, Honolulu Beerworks has created a management structure that supports their people and upholds their standards. In this field trip, we will tour the brewery, hear the owner's philosophy, and learn in a talk story format about how they’ve implemented the training provided to managers called “The 5 Habits of High Impact Managers.”  You will have plenty of time to ask questions, and discuss with your peers how these concepts can be applied in your organization or practice. After the formal program, come sit in the beer garden, eat from the fresh local menu and enjoy (no host) handcrafted brews with your fellow ATD colleagues.

Learning Objectives:

  • Hear how Honolulu Beerworks has created a successful business through applying the 5 Habits of High Impact Managers
  • Take a tour of the restaurant and brewery to understand their operations at a high level (For your safety, please wear covered-toe shoes if you would like to participate in the Honolulu Beerworks facility tour.)
  • Discuss how their onboarding, coaching and leadership practices can be applied to every organization across industries.
  • Relax and have fun!
