New to ATD Hawaiʻi in 2021, masterminds bring members together in a peer-to-peer mentoring format to give each other feedback, advice, and support. Whether you're tackling an issue at work, struggling to figure out a new process, or need advice on how to influence C-suite leaders, masterminds offer a powerful format for linking arms and tackling challenges together.
As ATD Hawaiʻi seeks to foster a learning community of practice, we have structured five (5) mastermind sessions scheduled this year for chapter members to participate in. Whether your mastermind peers work in the same industry for competing companies, or in completely different industries, these sessions allow you the opportunity to gain advice, troubleshoot ideas, and even share resources as fellow ATD talent development peers.
How it works:
Participants must register in advance for the mastermind sessions. In each 1-hour session, attendees would meet via the Zoom platform, and be given the time and space to break into at least two (2) rounds of small mixed breakout rooms to share your current challenges and requests for advice, while your peers brainstorm ideas for solutions and support to you and each other. Our board volunteers will handle the logistics and be there for facilitation support, but the topics to be covered and ideas generated will come from you.
Guidelines:
Mastermind participants agree to uphold confidentiality, both give and receive advice and ideas, and support each other with aloha and respect. Mastermind participants are strongly encouraged to commit and attend all five (5) sessions in their entirety, to foster a cohesive peer support group for each other. All sessions are held on Mondays, from 12:00-1:00pm HST, to be held virtually on the Zoom platform. Only active ATD Hawaiʻi members who register in advance are allowed to participate.
