Connecting Experiential Learning in the Workplace.

Experiential learning activities can be fun and engaging, but do they really increase the value of training?  You bet, provided they are facilitated and debriefed effectively!

This event will focus on the learners' understanding and application of Experiential Learning and the Learning Cycle and how best to connect a seemingly random experience with what goes on on the workplace.

Through actual activitites, participants will experience various set-up and debriefing strategies, discuss Inquiry-Based Learning, and explore how best to choose an activity.

Objectives

  • Engage participants in developing skills and competencies relating to implementing Expereintial Learning in training.
  • Increase your understanding of the Experiential Learning cycle as it applies to delivering effective training.
  • Introduce various debriefing strategies to insure activities are connected and transferable to the work environment and learnings' are harnessed.
  • Build on participants' collection of experiential activities to use back in the workplace.
