Sponsored by ALTRES, join us on April 28th over lunch for our first-ever speed mentoring event for learning professionals who are emerging in the field or studying to become talent development practitioners!

This event will be held over Zoom, and attendees must pre-register for the link. Event will go from 11:30am - 1:00pm HST.

Participants ("mentees") will be paired with seasoned learning professionals ("mentors"), 1:1 or in small groups (e.g. 1 mentor with 2 or 3 mentees). In each breakout room, you'll meet for 15 minutes, and you may discuss topics of your choice. There will be a total of 5 breakout rounds, allowing you to connect with 5 mentors during the event!

Is this for me?

Maybe you are studying about organizational change or adult learning, and want to ask how that works in the real world. Maybe you want advice on how to find a job in the field. You could be a current professional wanting to advance or learn how to influence up. Maybe you want to hear how others got to where they are and make connections for future job prospects! Whether youʻre already in talent development and want to grow, or you are a student wanting to be a practitioner someday, this is the place for you!

Mentors:

  • Adam White, VP, First Citizens Community Bank
  • Deb Christensen, Corporate Training Manager, YHata
  • Christine M. Denton, Esq., VP, Human Resources and Legal Affairs,

    Chaminade University

  • Dina Tsuda, Sr. VP, Org & Talent Development, Title Guaranty
  • Dr. Eric Hieger, Adjunct Faculty, Hawaii Pacific University MA in Org Change
  • Pat Hao, Sr. VP, Human Resources, Hawaii State Federal Credit Union
